About Us

Welcome to Tatanka Hills, a family-owned bison ranch located in the rolling hills of South Dakota. Our ranch was founded in the 1980s by Kevin and Joan Stormo, who had a deep love and respect for the majestic bison that roamed the Great Plains. Today, their son Jason, along with his wife Sherri and their four children, continue the family legacy by working along with Kevin and Joan, operating the ranch and raising bison with the same care and commitment.

At Tatanka Hills, we are passionate about the health and wellbeing of our bison and the land that supports them. We believe in regenerative grazing practices that promote healthy soil and grasses, and we ensure that our bison have free choice of feed and are never given hormones or antibiotics. We take pride in providing our customers with the highest quality bison meat, which is lean, nutritious, and sustainably sourced. We also offer a range of bison-themed merchandise, including t-shirts, hats, and souvenirs.
